As a Gameplay Designer for Electronic Arts' (EA) game FIFA, my responsibilities included finding the latest trends, seeking potential business oportunities, and performing competitive analysis. I worked to create gameplay features from scratch, documenting the designs, and leading multiple cross-disiplinary teams across EA's international studios. I drove the iteration process for the gameplay mechanics during the annual production cycle and continue to tune these mechanics for live updates.

Gameplay Quality Assurance Lead
Before becoming a Game Designer, I worked as the Gameplay Quality Assurance Lead for three FIFA products: console, PC, and mobile. I led a testing team of ten members. This position taught me about the intricacies of game development and a trained eye for detail. My responsibilities included creating testing plans, bug estimates, and testing scripts.

Scripting
As the Lead Designer of the scripting and level design team, we created over a hundred multiplayer and single player levels. I was highly involved in the technical and creative development of our gameplay engine and development tools. My strong scripting skills allowed me to quickly prototype gameplay features or modes, to be incorporated into the final product.

Vancouver Film School
Game Design Program
I attended Vancouver Film School (VFS) in 2011 and 2012 for a Game Design Diploma. Regarded as one of the best game design schools, VFS gave me the tools and knowledge necessary to meet industry and professional standards. For my graduation project i worked with a team tp create a PC game. I was involved in concept art, character modeling, animation, enviromental art, and lighting.
Film
Ulises (2011)
Set Lighting Technician
Ulises is an immigrant drama produced by Juan de Dios Larrain. Larrain and his brother are acclaimed for producing A Fantastic Woman, which won the 2018 Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film.
As part of the cinematography team, I worked with the Director of Photography and Gaffer to create the lighting atmosphere for the movie.
Post-Mortem (2010)
Assitant Producer
Post-Mortem is a historical drama directed by the Academy Awards nominee Pablo Larrain. The film is set in the 70's, following a psychopatic individual involved in the autopsy of Chilean president after the coup'd etat. The production was challenging for the high complexity involved on the set dressing and cinematography. As an assistant producer, my responsibilities focused on organizing production, resources and talent.
Metro Cuadrado (2011)
Assistant Producer
Metro Cuadrado is a drama about a failing relationship.
My position was involved in creating budgets for the operations, technical equipment, locations and human talent. During production I was responsible for the set organization and timelines.

Universidad del Desarrollo - Film School
2007-2011
Universidad del Desarrollo (UDD) is a university located in Santiago, Chile.
Its film school programs are among the best in South America. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Filmmaking, specialising in directing. The studies involved communications and dramatic arts as large components of the degree. I completed the program with honours.

Video Editing
Ambas Tres was the final project for Universidad del Desarrollo. As the video editor, my responsibilities involved in creating a compelling and emotional narrative.

Set Lighting Technician
Anónimo is an independant feature film directed by Renato Pérez for his final project for film school. As a member of the lighting team, my responsibilities consisted of assisting the Gaffer and Director of Photography to create the lighting atmosphere of the movie.

About
Born and raised in Santiago, Chile, I moved to Canada to pursue my dream as a game designer, after finishing my film school studies and working in multiple feature length films. I finished the Game Design program at the Vancouver Film School and joined EA as a Game Designer.
I enjoy cycling, playing sports, board games, photography, and long walks on a rainy day.
